Baisakhi and Poila Baisakh Menu at Park Plaza
To mark the festive occasion of the Bengali New Year day, Park Plaza’s K19 restaurant has come up with a unique culinary experience titled Kolkata to Kapurthala. This has been done because both Bengal and Punjab celebrates New Year and Baisakhi at around the same time. In order to offer something unique to the Bengali food lovers, the Punjabi cuisine has been introduced at this festival.
A Baisakhe Baithaki Adda was also organized where eminent personalities like RJ Roy, RJ Den, Bobby Chakraborty, DJ Akash, Nilanjana Chakraborty, Rubena Chatterjee participated. They engaged in a delightful conversation and highlighted on their plans for the New Year and also on their favorite Bengali and Punjabi dishes.
The menu is a great assortment of Punjabi and Bengali dishes and has been designed by Chef Jayanta Banerjee. Welcome drinks include Aam pora sharbat and Punjabi lassi. Paneer tikka, Macchi Amritsari and Bengali fried fish are some of the items in the starter section.
The main course consists essentially of Luchi, Cholar dal, Chorcori, Bhaja masala aloo dum, Doi potol, Chingri malai curry, Kadai chicken, Dhaba gosht, Sorse bata mach, Amritsari kulch with chhole and Missi roti.
Desserts include Mishti doi, Rasogolla, Jalbhora sandesh, Kesariya gulab jamun and Gajrella.
A meal for two will cost Rs 3000 at K19 and will be available from 13th April to 23rd April.
