Bengali rock band Alienz released their music album titled Jorimana at an event held at the Kolkata Press Club. Present at the music launch of the event were Jojo, Timir Biswas, Violin Brothers, Mahua Lahiri, Nondon Bagchi, Soumyajit- Sourendra and others.
Formed in the year 2007, Alienz is a five member band comprising of Tamal (song writer and keyboard player), Appu (drummer), Joy (guitarist), Dodo (bass guitarist) and Raj (lead vocalist and guitarist). They recorded their first album Sapno Noy in 2011. They also participated in a collaboration album “Underground Kolkata” in 2009.
“The album has eight songs which we hope will be liked by our listeners. We took a long time in bringing out this album. We thank Asha Audio who have come forward even in such times to help us in bringing out the music album” said Tamal.
Speaking at the occasion, Nondon Bagchi said “The group members may have achieved more individually. But they have stuck together and continued with the band. This is awesome as we do not find many artists who stick together for such a long time”.
Timir Biswas said “What can I say about this band? They are just like my brothers. I am very happy that their music album has finally been released. Though we are competitors, I feel that this kind of healthy competition is good for the music industry”. The singer also stressed on the fact that the listeners should download from legal sites so as to help in saving the music industry.
Priced at Rs 125, the music album is readily available at leading music stores all over the city.
