The versatile actress Richa Chadha who has been earning great reviews for her acting in the recently released film Sarbjit will soon be donning the cap of a producer. The diva is all set for her debut with a Punjabi short film, Khoon Aali Chithi.
The actress revealed that she was glad that she could make her debut as a producer with such an amazing and powerful Punjabi film. She also hoped that the film will find a place at the film festivals in the coming year.
Richa Chadha’s production debut is as bold and unconventional as her roles in the movies like Gangs of Wasseypur I and II and Masaan. Khoon Aali Chithi is a short film based on the terrorism in the 1980s and 1990s due to the Khalistan movement in Punjab. Khoon Aali Chithi is being directed by Rupinder Singh. The title means ‘letters written in blood’. The film is already doing the round of film festivals and has been selected for the International film festival of South Asia in Toronto. She has not just supported the film financially, but has also given a lot of creative inputs, revealed a source.
Richa Chadha who was recently honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence award is now excited to don the role of a producer.
