In order to celebrate the 70th Independence Day, a ten days long food festival “Flavours of India” was recently inaugurated at K 19, the all day dining restaurant at Park Plaza, Kolkata.
The main aim of this food festival is to give the customers ideas about the rich cultural diversity of the country which is also so evident in the food that is consumed. Chef Jayanta and his team have handpicked those delicacies which will be representative of every region of the country. South Indian, Bengali, Goanese, Awadhi, Kashmiri and Rajasthani delicacies are on offer at the food festival.
Galauti Kebabs (Awadhi), Goanese Curries (Goa), Kari Sukka, Karamani Vadai, Pudina Kadalai Khuska (South), Macher Chop, Murgi Donepatar Shorba, Bhapa Maach, Baked Misti Doi (Bengali) are some of the items on offer at this food festival.
One of the highlighting features of this festival is the lunch and dinner menu will be different on different days. However if a guest want a certain dish on an A-la-Karte basis, the restaurant will be providing them with that dish.
The spread will be available at the regular buffet at Rs 1299 plus taxes. The festival will continue till the 21st of August.
