The launch of Eye of the Eagle, the English translation of Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s Eagler Chokh took place at Starmark’s South City Mall outlet. The book was launched in the presence of Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Ranjan Bandopadhyay, Arindam Sil, Saswata Chatterjee, Padmanabha Dasgupta, and Ushoshi Sengupta.
Translated by Uttara Gangopadhyay Eye of the Eagle belongs to the popular detective series featuring the fictional detective character Shabor Dasgupta. A murder mystery, it delves into the complicated world of human relationships. The story revolves around four characters, Bishan, his wife Shivangi, and her two friends Nandini and Jahnavi. Nandini is brutally murdered and Bishan’s wife, Shivangi, is found with fatal injuries. All evidences point towards Bishan! But is he the murderer? Here, Shabor Dasgupta steps in to unravel the murder mystery with his sharp detective’s eye.
The publication of Eye of the Eagle coincides with the launch of Arindam Sil’s released film Eagler Chokh.
