The album launch of Antarman took place recently in the presence of veteran singer Haimanti Shukla and director Suman Mukhopadhyay.
Antarman is a folk fusion album. Consisting of six songs namely Hobena, Maati, Gaanja, Marghat, Rairi Bindiya and Tatar Patar, the songs have been sung in both Hindi and Bengali.
The nine member band is basically from Mumbai. Due to time constraints, only three members namely Pooja Shankar, Randeep Bhaskar and Rahul Mukherjee made it to the music launch. Pooja who is Haimanti Shukla’s niece was initially scared to perform the songs in front of her.
The album has been brought out by Times Music. Speaking at the occasion, Suman Mukhopadhyay said “This is indeed a vey melodious album with its heart at the right place. The fusion has been done so well that it gives a great vibe to the songs. I wish the band all the luck and hope they continue with their great work”.
The band members performed live in front of the audience. The lively music and the great lyrics simply kept the audience transfixed.
