Aniket Chattopadhyay’s Tuski Promoted Via Seven Minute Street Play

Video: Bengali Film Tuski Promotion

Film makers have always been trying new ways of promoting their films. Filmmaker Aniket Chattopadhyay took up a new way of promoting his upcoming Bengali film Tuski. With the help of some stage actors, the whole film was enacted in the span of seven minutes. This will not only help in promoting the film but also in arousing curiosity among the audience about the film.

“This is one of the oldest concepts in Indian cinema. When Dadasaheb Phalke made Harishchandra, he took all the characters on a cart and took them to places for live performances. Since I do not have a lavish budget to spend on promotion of the film, I have resorted to this technique. This will help in letting the people know that I have made such a film” said the director.

The director also added that these performances will be done in front of halls like Jaya, Mitra, Navina and others. Since these kinds of performances will not be allowed in multiplexes, the team is sticking to the single screens in the city.

The music of the film is by Savvy. Kanchana Moitra, Rajesh Sharma, Priyanka, Kharaj Mukherjee will be seen in pivotal roles in the upcoming Bengali film.

The film is slated for release on 4th November.
