Global Kitchens, the largest conglomerate that owns a number of pubs and restaurants in Kolkata and other tier-I cities, kick started the Christmas festivities in style with the time-honored cake mixing ceremony at its Food Court at Quest Mall.
Headed by Chef Bobby Rasul and Sonia Mitra , the ceremony witnessed mixing of colorful cherries, plums and dry fruits like four types of Tutti-frutti, Raisin, Cashew, Almond Flakes, Mixed Peel, Dry Cherry, Black Current, Seedless dates, Fig, Murabba(petha), Jam Mix Fruit, Dry Ginger all together in the heady concoction of Honey Bee and Old Monk Rum (Hard Liquors). Spices used in the mixing were the dusts of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and the star anise.
Ceremony stated with all the ingredients emptied onto a large, gigantic platter. After the ingredients, heady alcohols were poured on top. Then everyone present joined in the mixing ceremony by wearing gloves and chef’s hat.
