41st International Kolkata Book Fair 2017; CM of West Bengal to Inaugurate the Book Fair



The 41st International Kolkata Book Fair 2017 which will begin on 25th January will continue till the fifth of February. The inauguration will be done by Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee and Costa Rican author Roxana Pinto Lopez. A press conference was organized to highlight on some of the special arrangements at the fair.


Some of the highlights of this year’s Book Fair are mentioned below. There will be 600 stalls and 200 little magazines stalls. A special medical assistance service team will be available during the book fair days. Free shuttle bus service from Park Circus to Milan Mela will be available during the fair days. Eminent authors from eight different countries will come to the fair. The five halls in the fair have been named as Mahasweta Debi, Syed Samsul Haque, Umberto Eco, Father Detienne and Neil Aloysious O’Brien. Events for students and book lovers are also in store at the fair.
