Big Bazaar Poush Parbon festival ended with the grand finale of Banjao Kosh Masterchef held at Big Bazaar Lake Mall. Big Bazaar today launched “Poush Parbon” to celebrate the sweet tooth of Bengalis in Bengal, Agartala and Silchar.
The contestants were judged on the basis of their innovative ideas during cooking the dishes using oats. The judges consisted of Mir, Rukma Dakshy (Adviser, Bhojohori Manna) and Indranil Ghosh (Executive Chef, 6 Ballygunge Place).
The Big Bazaar Lake Mall outlet was converted into a Bengali kitchen where all the six semi-finalists were given individual cooking counters. The big idea in the festival was to use oats of brand Kosh, along with other staple ingredients to make the dishes tastier and healthier.
The three finalists were Ridhhima Kapoor (Winner), Priyanka Chakraborty (1st runner up) and Kavita Pandey (2nd runner up). They were given cash prizes of Rs 7000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively, along with hampers from Kosh-Big Bazaar, and cooktops from Smithcucina. The prizes were given away by Mir and actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty.
