Fourth Edition of Naba Barsha Boi Utsab Inaugurated; Aim to Highlight Importance of Bengali Literature

Naba Barsha Boi Utsab, which began in the year 2014 celebrated Bangaliana. This referred not only to Bengali cuisine but also to Bengali literature. The event is organized by Publishers and Booksellers Guild, who is behind the International Kolkata Book Fair.


The fourth edition of this Naba Barsha Boi Utsab was inaugurated in the presence of Tridib Chatterjee, Sanjib Chattopadhyay, Ranjan Bandopadhyay and other eminent dignitaries.
The event saw a huge procession which consisted of students from different schools, eminent dignitaries. The huge procession walked down the streets and assembled at College Square Grounds.

With seventy stalls which not only consist of books but also artistic wooden handicrafts, the fair is attractive to for the book lovers and the craft lovers. To give the book lovers extra joy, twenty percent discount will be given on the total amount of books purchased.


The fair will also witness great performances by many eminent artists of Bengal. Some of them include Surojit o Bondhura, Riddhi Bandopadhyay, Nachiketa, Diptangshu and Gargi Dance Troupe and so on.

Naba Barsha Boi Utsab will continue till the 19th of April at College Square Grounds.
