Singer Soumita Saha’s Music Album Nisarga Madhuri Released on Poila Boisakh; Tagore’s Songs Blended with Different Ragas



With mercury rising across the country, nothing else soothes one’s heart better than music. Keeping this in mind, singer Soumita Saha has come up with a music album titled Nisarga Madhuri. It is a collection of Rabindranath Tagore’s songs blended with various ragas of Indian Classical Music.

The album Nisarga Madhuri was released on April 15 which also happened to be Bengali New Year day (Poila Boishakh).

Speaking about the project, Soumita mentioned the similarity between Tagore’s work and Classical music. The similarity is that both praise the beauty of Nature and the seasons. The album is an attempt to thank Nature for the sweetness bestowed upon human beings.


Soumita shared the vocals with her father Swapan Saha, who is an eminent Bengali singer and has worked as playback singer in several Tollywood movies like Rituporno Ghosh’s Hirer Angtee, Tenth July and several other popular Television serials.

The music of this album has been directed by Swapan Saha and composed by Kumar Prithviraj, Partha Sarathi Pal, Uttam Ganguly. The recording and mixing has been done by Rana Mondal at Studio RJ. The album will be distributed under the banner of SBM CDs and Cassettes.
