Colors Bangla New Serial Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya To Start Today

The last serial on Chaitanya was aired many years ago with Jisshu Sengupta playing the role of Chaitanya. Colors Bangla has come up with a new serial titled Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya.


The creative director of this new serial is Aditi Roy, who had earlier directed Oboseshe. Producer Rana Sarkar is of the opinion that the serial will reach out to a wider audience due to the content. In the age of family dramas, people are also watching serials based on fantasy dramas. This serial will also give a relief to the audience, felt the producer.


Purulia, Nabadwip, Taki are some of the places where the outdoor scenes will be shot for the serial.

The serial will stress more on the childhood of Chaitanya. The character of the young Chaitanya is enacted by actor Ishan Sadhuka. Ishan aged four years is a student of Kalyani Public School. He loves munching on chicken popcorn and loves shooting.


Aditi mentioned that not many people are aware of the childhood of Mahaprabhu. He was a naughty boy then. Stories of his childhood will be shown in the serial.

Arijit will play Adwaityo Acharya, Titas will play Sachi Mata, Arindam will play Jagannath Mishra in this serial.


Music has an important role in the serial. Aditi Munsi will be lending her voice to sing Kirtans for the serial. The music direction is by Indraadip Dasgupta. He is composing music for the small screen after a long time.

The director of the serial is Gopal Chakraborty. The screenplay and dialogue is by Joy Bhattacharya.


The serial is going to be aired from May 1st at 6.30pm.
