The poster launch of the upcoming Bengali film Biler Diary took place recently. Present at the poster launch was Biswanath Basu, Aditya Pratap Singh, director Biswarup Biswas and music director Raja Narayan Deb.

The film starts with a retreat where alumni of various batches of a residential school meet. Anabil, one of the alumni is now working with UNICEF India as a child protection specialist. It is he who narrates his childhood days at the residential school. The film showcases the myriad colors of childhood and his transformation from a shy boy to a successful human being.

“One of the main highlight of the film is that this is a film for the children. Not many films are made for them. The second feature to take note of is the fact that we are highlighting the guru-sishya tradition. In recent times, there have been many cases where the students have not shared cordial relations with the teachers. We have tried to show that the teachers are like second parents and they must get the desired respect” said director Biswarup Biswas.

Biswanath Basu, Samadarshi Dutta, Sanjoy Biswas, Sanjib Sarkar, Palash Adhikary, Avrendu Majumdar will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The music has been composed by Raja Narayan Deb. Usha Uthup, Rupankar Bagchi, Durnibar Saha, Zeenia Roy Deb, Nirmalya Roy and others have lent their voices to the songs in the film.

The film is slated for release soon.
