Audio Music Album Launch of Chandana Chakraborty’s Praanosokha and Nuton Kore Gorbo Thakur


Video: Shrutinandan Completes 20 Years

One of the most renowned Hindustani Classical Music Institute of Kolkata, Shrutinandan completed its twenty years recently. To celebrate the occasion, two music albums of Chandana Chakraborty, wife of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, also known as Guruma was launched.


The launch event was graced with the presence of Alokananda Roy, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Gautam Halder, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and others.

The two albums released at the event include Praanosokha and Nuton Kore Gorbo Thakur. Nuton Kore Gorbo Thakur is Bengali devotional album while Praanosokha is a compilation of Rabindrasangeet.


The album was launched on the sixtieth birthday of Chandana Chakraborty. “My mother never came to the forefront to showcase her skills. She always stayed at the back and helped me and my father to continue with our passion. I am glad that finally her debut albums have been released. This is a moment of great joy for me. She is a great singer and my first teacher” said Kaushiki Chakraborty.

Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty also expressed his gratitude towards his wife for the love and affection that she had shown towards the students and also for supporting him throughout.

The music arrangement of both the albums have been composed by Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and priced at Rs 150.
