Santu Singha’s Upcoming Bengali Film Wheelchair to Begin Shooting Soon



Directed by Santu Singha, upcoming Bengali film Wheelchair will be beginning the shooting from this month at a house in Hindusthan Road, Kolkata. The story is also by the director. The cast of the film consists of Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, Supriyo Dutta, Tamal Roychowdhury, Mita Chatterjee, Debdut Ghosh and Soumili Biswas.

The story of the film is about Santanu (Debdut) and his wife Upala (Soumili). They have been married for eight years and have a daughter named Tinni. Their expenses have gone up but Santanu’s income has not gone up. Santanu believes that one day his books will be well received and their finances will improve. Santanu meets with an accident and loses his legs. He becomes confined to a wheelchair. What happens next?

Soumitra Chatterjee will be seen as the owner of a publishing house, Pradyut Mitra and Sabitri Chatterjee will be seen playing the role of Mayadebi, Upala’s mother. The two actors will be seen after a long time on screen by the audience.

With such an interesting cast and a good storyline, Wheelchair sounds like a promising film.
