Science City, Kolkata played the host to Science Circus program which featured two leading Australian Science Communicators namely Dr Graham Walker and Dr Stuart Kohlhagen.
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) in partnership with Australian National University has planned this event Science Circus across seven cities in India from 13th June to 23rd June.
The event began with Dr Walker mixing vinegar and baking soda together leading to the container getting popped. He explained how carbon-dioxide bubbles create pressure leading to the popping of the container. He even went on to do it on bigger containers and even made make-shift cannons. With the help of many such examples, the two communicators made the student understand difficult sessions easily.
Students from leading schools of Kolkata namely DPS (Ruby Park), DPS (Megacity), Loreto House School (Middleton Row), Ashoka Hall, The Heritage School and others participated in the event.
