Marathon Organized on The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking



Amway India collaborated with the Kolkata Police to organize a Marathon which was a part of the Anti-Drug Awareness Program undertaken by the Anti-Drug Campaign Cell of the Kolkata Police. The objective behind organizing the campaign was to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse among people in Kolkata. The campaign began on 3rd June 2017 and ended on 26th June 2017 – The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Senior officials of Kolkata Police along with eminent personalities like Mir, Manoj Tiwari and Anindya Chatterjee flagged off the run and handed over prizes to the winners at the prize distribution ceremony.

The Marathon included two runs of 10 kilometers and 5 kilometers for professional runners as well as sports lovers, fitness enthusiasts and students. The Marathon was held at the Gostho Paul Statue near Esplanade and concluded at Akashvani Bhavan.
