First Look and Trailer Launch of Film Rakto Karobi; Modern Day Adaptation of Tagore’s Play



The first look and trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Rakto Karobi took place recently.

Director Amitava Bhattacharya’s “Red Oleanders, Rakto Karobi” is the contemporary adaptation of Tagore’s play Rakto Karobi. Mumtaz Sorcar plays Nandini and Shantilal Mukherjee plays the role the king here Raja Sengupta.


Raja Sengupta is a renowned theatre personality and political leader. He decides to produce Tagore’s Rakto Karobi for his next theatre production to portray the clash between his political and theatre persona. The story continues with different twist and turns. Rahul is playing Ranjan who is Nandini’s love interest. Ushasi is playing Chandra, Rajesh Sharma is playing the role of Krishna Sardar, Kaushik Sen is playing Bisu.


The cast of the film consists of Mumtaz Sorcar, Usashi Chakraborty, Kaushik Sen, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul, Shantilal Mukherjee, Debdut Ghosh and others.

The music has been composed by Debajyoti Mishra.

The film is eyeing for release soon.
