Seventh Edition of Annual Trade Training Sessions of South African Tourism Held in Kolkata

South African Tourism recently concluded the seventh edition of its annual trade training sessions in Kolkata. The main aim was to equip the travel agents with the best tips to sell the destination Learn South Africa. This is a seventeen city training program which covered not only the urban metros but also the tier two and three cities.

Hanneli Slabber, Country Manager India, South African Tourism mentioned that with the help of such training sessions, the Indian travel agents will be aware of which hotels to choose as per the budget and needs of the customers.

She also mentioned that the adventure activities in South Africa are much in demand. Much to the surprise of the press members at the event, she revealed that it was the Indian women who were more into adventure activities in South Africa more than the men. Kolkata is a strong family market and hence TAAI’s endeavour to educate the agents will go a long way to sell the product to the customers.

The highest number of visitors to South Africa is from UK, USA and France. Indian leisure visitor numbers to South Africa surged 21.7 % during 2016. West Bengal has a 7% share in the number of visitors to South Africa in 2016.

So if you are looking for a leisure full holiday or an adventure full holiday, you can head to South Africa and have a great time.
