Second Phase of Tata Tea’s Jaago Re 2.0 Announced; Focus on Women Safety and Sports Encouragement



Tata Tea launched its iconic campaign Jaago Re 2.0 – ‘Alarm Bajne se Pehle Jaago Re’ – earlier this year. The second phase aims to inspire people to pre-act and drive a behavioural change by signing petitions on issues currently plaguing the country – Women Safety and Sports Encouragement.

With a strong belief that an issue like women safety will not end till the root-cause of the problem is tackled, the second phase of Tata Tea’s Jaago Re 2.0 campaign aims to nip this issue in the bud. Phase two of this campaign is driving a petition to request the government to make gender sensitization programs compulsory in school curriculum. When we educate children from a young age, there is mutual respect for the opposite gender and that can create a safe and encouraging environment for women in the near future.


To instil the message of Preactivism and drive the conversation on change, Dr. Ranjana Kumari and Olympic Sensation Dipa Karmakar will be the torchbearers of the campaign and will lead the issues of women safety and sports encouragement, respectively.
