Grand Finale of Inter School Music Contest Yuva 2017



Yuva 2017, ended with a Grand Finale of the Inter-School Music Contest, at Kolkata. Meeryung Hall, an accomplished American Vocalist and wife of US Consul General was the chief adjudicator of the Grand Finale along with Paul Kim, US Violinist and Evaluation team of musiCEA. Eminent Singer Manomay Bhattacharya was also present.

The culmination of a musical festival and celebration that has lasted four months beginning April this year, saw the short-listed students from among contestants of more than 60 schools, compete for the grand honours. These students came up from more than 1000 students of different schools in a vast range of activities that include Piano, Violin, Keyboard, Drums, Guitar, Indian Vocals and Western Vocals in the individual categories. This year, YMF introduced the School Choir competition, which was again a first in Kolkata.

The event was supported by Aliance Francaise Du Bengal, Musicea, Yamaha, Print Factory, HHI, Hertz, School Plus and Kodaly Society of India.
