Video: Georgian Dancers To Perform Sukhisvili at Event Synergy
Synergy presented by Indo-occidental Symbiosis and Calcutta Club along with Hema Malini’s Jaya Smriti will be held in Kolkata after the successful shows at Delhi and Mumbai respectively. A press meet was conducted in the presence of Hema Malini, Bickram Ghosh, Tamal Mukherjee, President of Calcutta Club and Shouvik Dasgupta.
“I am very interested to know how the people in this city will react to this musical venture. People of Kolkata are art lovers and are also critical. Let’s see whether they like this effort” said Hema Malini.
Hema Malini also pointed out that India lacked big halls which could seat a huge number of people. “Now the dance groups have more people and the stage setup is elaborate. It is difficult to do back to back shows. If the halls are big, more people will be able to see the show at one time. That will be helpful in the promotion of art and culture” added the actress.
Forty Georgian dancers and thirty Indian dancers will be performing at this dance event.
The program will be of duration of one and a half hour. After the Sukhisvili performance, dancers will perform Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Pung Cholom. Finally there will be an Indo-Georgian fusion dance.
The event is scheduled to take place on 15th September at Calcutta Club at 6.30 pm.
