British Movie Feast of Varanasi to be Shown at ALIIFF 2017



All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) announced that British movie Feast of Varanasi will be showcased at the festival as part of the International Competition for Feature Films segment. The crime drama which released in 2016 film is a homecoming of sorts for director Rajan Kumar Patel.

The story follows a young English teacher, played by Holly Gilbert, who following her mother’s suicide arrives in Varanasi to deliver her mother’s final letter and a special pendant to her aunt (Judi Bowker), a missionary who has dedicated her life to caring for low caste children. When she arrives she soon learns about a serial killer who’s kidnapping and killing local girls in and around the city and her own future is tied to the desperate acts of the killer. The CBI send in a quite analyst from Delhi to head up the case and to find the killer before another victim is killed.

The movie earned good reviews for its compelling and tense drama, which offered unexpected twists and surprises for movie goers of all genres.
