Critical Care ISCCM Kolkata Chapter to Host Annual Continuing Medical Education



To spread the awareness and changing trends in the field of critical care ISCCM Kolkata Chapter organizes every year an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME). Similarly this year Superspecialty Critical Care Congress has been arranged on 10th and 11th of December.

Dr. Rezaul Karim, from West Bengal Doctors Forum, Dr. Shantanu Sen from Indian Medical Association, Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee from Health regulatory Commission, DR. Alok Roy, Dr. Satyajit Bose, Dr, Susrata Bandopadhyay, Dr. Ramesh Ramasubbaan, Professor Avijit Choudhury, Mr. Sandhi Mukherjee, Retired IG of West Bengal Police, MR. Milan Mukherjee, Senior Advocate Kolkata High Court, MR. Suman Chattopadhyay, Editor Aesamay and many other doctors and celebrities have participated in the discussions. The programs are moderated by Dr. Kunal Sarkar and Dr. Arindam Kar.

This year they have arranged parallel CME and CNE (Continuing Nursing Education) for the doctors, nurses and paramedics. This innovative approach is taken keeping in mind the fact that one can have a comprehensive improvement in the number and quality of proficient health care providers.

In recent times the clinicians working in the field of acute care are apprehensive about this scenario where they are threatened every day. The main focus of the discussion was to improve the situation and erase the fear of the clinicians and to bring in a situation to deliver trustworthy and quality critical care service at appropriate and affordable cost.

This Critical Care Congress has been intended with the aim to establish a hassle free approach to comprehensively bring newer innovations in the field of critical care and to create an environment where the clinicians can practice safely and can build a healthy relationship with the patients and their family members.
