Asha Audio Company launched an album consisting of eight modern songs, Mayar Mokam. Hon’ble Minister in Charge of Information & Technology & Electronic Department, Government West Bengal, Shri Bratya Basu and tabla maestro, Pt. Swapan Chowdhury were present to launch the album.


The eight songs composed by Avra Banerjee are Tumi Ke (Raghab), Kemon Kore (Rupankar & Kankana), Ektu Kore (Manomay), Kotharao Path (Tamal), Megh Koreche (Raghab & Sanchari), Mon Haray (Rupankar), Bhromor Elo (Manomay), Sondhye Namar (Rupankar & Raghab). The songs are written by Sutapa Basu and Debdeep Mukherjee and arranged by Tamal Halder. The songs in the album have been sung by singers Rupankar Bagchi, Manomay Bhattacharya, Raghab Chatterjee, Tamal, Kankana and Sanchari.


Speaking at the event, Bratya Basu said “It is very important for the people to understand and respect their own culture. Otherwise composing in Bengali will not have any audience in future. It is hence necessary for one to keep these ideas in mind or else the future is bleak”.

The album is priced at Rs 125/- and will be available across all retail outlets in Bengal and leading online platforms.
