What happens when Rajasthan’s bold spices blend with Bengal’s panch phoron? It leads to the creation of Sheherwali Cuisine, which is a wonderful amalgamation of the best of the East and the West. Keeping this in mind, 6, Ballygunje Place has come up with Sheherwali Festival.
Sheherwali cuisine expert Mrs Neeta Jain has joined hands with co-owner Chef Sushanta Sengupta in coming up with this unique cuisine.
Some of the dishes that one will be served in this festival include Kheere ki kachori, Dal samosa, Khatte ka pakori, Chana dal ka chinuwa, Missa puri, Maria, Namkeen chawal, Aloo dum, Nimas, Chuware ki goli and many more delicacies. Nimas is an extremely popular item. Nimas is sweet milky froth which melts in the mouth.
The Sheherwali Festival will continue till 26th January at 6, Ballygunje Place over lunch and dinner. The price is Rs 750 plus taxes.
