Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Bengal commemorated their 29th Foundation Day in the presence of Mr. Nandu Belani, President, CREDAI Bengal, Mr. Sushil Mohta, Immediate Past President, CREDAI Bengal, Mr. Piyush Bhagat, Vice President, CREDAI Bengal and Mr. Sanjay Jain Convener Exhibition Committee & Vice President, CREDAI Bengal. Also present were the former Presidents of the entity along with a volley of eminent personalities who graced the occasion with their presence. The overlying theme of the Foundation Day celebrations was a look back at CREDAI Bengal’s journey in the past 29 years.
The foundation day celebrations commenced with the felicitation of Mr. Amarnath Shroff Chairman Alcove 42, Mr. Jugal Kishore Khetawat, Director of South City Parivar Private Limited, Mr. Arun Poddar, to acknowledge their pertinent role and contributions as Former Presidents of CREDAI Bengal.
The highlight of the evening was a keynote session by Renowned Author and Motivational Speaker Mr. Chetan Bhagat, who discussed the “INDIA AND INDIAN YOUTH & opportunities for the Real Estate”.
The day also witnessed the announcements of Credai Bengal’s major upcoming CSR projects like building Pedestrian Overbridge, 2000 Sapling plantation and the introduction of Women’s Wing. Under the first project Credai will build a footbridge in between Hastings and Race Course crossing, a stretch of around 700 meters which has remained without a proper pedestrian crossing so far. Their main objective behind this project is not only to decrease the accident rate but also to help manage the traffic. The second project is also very essential for the environment where Credai Bengal will plant 2000 Coconut Saplings in Kakdwip Sundarban, which will benefit the villagers for their livelihood; the plantation will start from next month. The third announcement by the entity was the initiation of a Women’s wing to harness Women power.
The program discussed the journey of what CREDAI Bengal has achieved in the past 29 years of operations. The main objective of CREDAI Bengal, under which there 3 city chapters, CREDAI Howrah Hooghly, CREDAI North Bengal and CREDAI Asansol , was to make the real estate sector more organized and inculcate a strong sense of ethics into the sector, a fact which remains the driving force behind CREDAI’s success.
