An acid attack victim’s life is not only difficult because of the distortion that happens to the person’s face but also the emotional trouble that the person has to undergo. This has risen in recent times. Keeping this in mind, Colors Bangla has come up with a new serial Aloy Bhubon Bhora to showcase the plight of the acid victims and how they overcome the obstacles in their life.

The story of the serial revolves around Shruti who is an active girl with the aim of becoming a singer. She falls prey to an acid attack. This happens on the eve of her wedding. What happens next? Can Shruti overcome the physical pain and the emotional wrenching that this attack brings in her life?

Director Bidhan Pal said “This is a sensitive issue. Hence we have tried to deal it in a way so that the people become aware and help those facing such problems in their lives. This serial will motivate the people and we hope that people find inspiration from it”.

Bharat Kaul- Nilkamal Bhattacharya, Rani – Neelima Bhattacharya, Dolon Roy- Alaka Majumder, Roshni Bhattacharya- Shruti Majumder, Uday Pratap Singh- Tirtha Bhattacharya, Dhrubo Sarkar- Arya Bhattacharya, Judhajit Bannerjee – Sukomol Majumder, Jayashree Kaul- Kamalika Bhattacharya will be seen in pivotal roles in the serial.

Roshni Bhattacharya said “The makeup is taking about one and a half hours. Latex and colours have been used to achieve this effect. After the makeup is done, I experience trouble while speaking and eating my food. Hence I cannot simply imagine the situation that the acid attack victims face. While I have talked with many victims, portraying them onscreen is always a challenge. I am trying to do my best”.

Bharat Kaul mentioned that while doing the research have listened to many stories of such victims. While writing the screenplay, they have remained true to the story. However there is a twist to the story in the serial. However the main aim is to make the youngsters aware that they should get involved in such acts. Rather they should become responsible citizens of the society.

Produced by Surinder Films, Aloy Bhubon Bhora will begin from 14th May at 8 pm, seven days a week only on Colors Bangla.
