Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob (ABSU), organized a special conversation with theatre actor Chapal Bhaduri, writer and director Sangeeta Dutta, music composer Debojyoti Mishra, Rakesh Ghosh and RJ Roy to celebrate Unishe April as a day of remembrance for National Award winning director, actor, writer and lyricist Late Rituparno Ghosh.

Rituparno Ghosh, according to Debojyoti Mishra, was a genius. Debojyoti Mishra has worked with him as a music composer in many films. “He used to call me at 6 am often and then discuss facts about the music in his films. By the time I reached his home, he would have done writing the lyrics of the song. Though he used to compose it, he never took the credit and was never proud about it. He used to say this is my film and I have just done my part” said the music composer.

Rakesh Ghosh is presently working on a play on Rituparno. Sangeeta Dutta made a documentary on Rituparno Ghosh as well as worked with him as an assistant director in many films.

The riveting discussion showcased light on the different creative aspects of the multifaceted personality.
