A recent IMRB survey shows that 9 out of 10 people in India are protein deficient. Keeping this in mind, Complain launched the #KamProteinCholbeNa movement in the presence of legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly. A self proclaimed Complan boy, Dada has joined the movement which aims to raise protein awareness across India beginning with West Bengal.

Speaking at the event, Sourav Ganguly said “It is essential to keep in mind that proteins are the building blocks in our body. As a concerned father, I ask my daughter to eat properly so that she gets all the essential nutrients. The same should be the case with every other parent. They must see what the kid is eating. One may think that the kid is getting enough. But it may turn out that the kid is not getting enough”.

Complain conducted a unique social experiment with Sourav Ganguly where he interacted with real mothers from different parts of Kolkata to raise awareness of protein in the diet of their kids.

Leading nutritionist Ipsita Chakravarti, Chief Dietician, CMRI & General Secretary, IDA brought alive the experiment with the audience to help in spreading the message further.

With companies like Complan coming in to highlight on such issues, one can hope that lack of proteins in kids will not be a problem in India in the future.
