Starmark, in association with Readomania, hosted the launch of Deepak Sapra’s book ‘The Boy Who Loved Trains’ at its Quest Mall outlet. The Guests of Honour at the launch were Jayant Kripalani, the well-known actor, director and theatre personality, and P. C. Sen, former railway official and an industrialist.
The story of the book is about a young officer posted in India’s Eastern Railway, Jeet Arora. He is responsible for running trains on one of the densest train routes in the country. In doing so, he encounters pretty girls and thugs, shares space with buffaloes and goats, and finds himself in the midst of oil spills and fires. As he stumbles across several unexpected hilarious and entertaining adventures, can he keep trains and his sanity, on track?
The launch was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Trains, Life and Nostalgia’ participated by veteran actor and author Jayant Kriplani, former IRS officer and ex-CMD Peerless General Finance Ltd. and the current director, Aakash Aath, P.C. Sen and the author. The discussion was moderated by Readomania’s Director and Publisher, Dipankar Mukherjee.
