Mothercare opened its first store in 1961 in Surrey. Initially the business focused on pushchairs, nursery furniture and maternity clothing, but it subsequently expanded its range to include clothing for children up to the age of five and later up to the age of eight.
Mothercare opened its new store at South City Mall, Kolkata recently. Spread across 1,500 square feet, the store is located on the third level of one of the city’s buzzing retail hubs. With presence in cities such as New Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Pune; Mothercare is now strengthening its position in the East.
In line with its brand ethos, the Mothercare store is brightly lit with pastel shades creating an atmosphere joy and positive energy for its shoppers. The various categories of products have been divided into convenient and relevant sections enabling shoppers especially expecting moms to browse and pick their favourites with ease.
