Video: Premiere of Bengali Film Tuski
The premiere of the Bengali film Tuski took place recently. Director Aniket Chattopadhyay, Kanchana Moitra, Pradip Churiwal and others graced the occasion.
Director Aniket Chattopadhyay said “There were a few places where slum dwellers used abusive language and that has been shown in the film. The Censor Board did not think it appropriate and hence have given the film “A” certification. This is just too much. How can kids come to watch the film then?”
The film Tuski shows two separate sections of our society- the rich and the poor. It also shows how the growing disparity between the two groups. One is getting richer by the day and the other is getting poorer by the day. Tuski lives in a slum and lives with her auto driver father. Opposite to their slum is a skyscraper which aptly shows the divide between the rich and the poor. This disparity has been showcased in the course of the film.
