To mark the auspicious occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of the poet Rajanikant Sen, Senco Gold Jewellers unveiled an encrypted silver coin of Rajanikant Sen. The evening also saw the unveiling of a music album titled Parampara by Bratati Bandopadhyay, actor Badsha Maitra, Tanmoy Bose, Srijato and many others.
The album Parampara conceptualized by Riddhi Bandopadhyay consists of some well-known songs of Rabindranath Tagore, Rajanikant Sen, Dwijendralal Roy, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Atulprasad Sen.
The cultural program which followed this music release and coin release ceremony was titled Premer Gan premer Kobita. The program was inducted by Jayati Goswami.
Speaking at the occasion Riddhi Bandopadhyay said “I am honored that I actually got to perform the songs of such legendary poets. With this musical evening I am also paying my heartfelt homage to my Gurus Krishna Chatterjee and Sushil Chatterjee”.
Riddhi Bandopadhyay also highlighted on the fact that a talent hunt will soon be launched where the young and talented singers will be presented with a platform to show their skills. This will be an effort to popularize the songs of the legendary Bengali singers. The talented male and the female vocalist will be presented with Manju Gupta Award, Sushil Chattapadhyay Award and Krishna Chattopadhyay award respectively.
Riddi Bandopadhyay’s efforts are praise worthy and may she continue with her good work in the coming days too.
