Priyanka Dutta, Sholoana Bangaliana- When did the glamour bug bit you?
Shweta Raj- I was in my second year of college in Pune. I participated in a beauty pageant and I won. That inspired me and I realized that I could join this field. This is how my journey began as a model.
How was the experience of winning this pageant?
Shweta Raj- It was exciting and it took me two seconds to realize that my name has actually been called on the stage. I could not believe my ears when they announced that I have won the crown.
Have you always wanted to be a model?
Shweta Raj- When I was small, I was always inspired by Priyanka Chopra and I always followed her. I was bitten by the glamour world early on in my life and that is how I thought of joining this profession.
What is next in store for you?
Shweta Raj- I am a hardcore model. I will be focussing on modelling and doing the work that will be coming my way.
How much has life changed for you after winning this pageant?
Shweta Raj- I was focused beforehand but now I have learned to balance my personal life with the responsibilities attached with winning this crown. This “balancing” act has taught me a lot.
Participating in a pageant is stressful. How do you handle pressure and stress?
Shweta Raj- I do that by being patient and having a positive outlook towards life. That has helped me a lot.
What will be your advice to upcoming models?
Shweta Raj- Please get yourself groomed at a good place. That is of the utmost importance. You may have good height, good skin, good hair- but grooming is extremely necessary. Hence if you plan to enter the world of modelling, grooming is an essential part.
Wishing Shweta all the best for her future endeavors in modelling!!
