The film Onnyo Bwasonto is a tale about a young girl Tannistha who is a straightforward and modern girl. She is about to get married to Shounak, who is her long time friend and also a successful management graduate. Their marriage is about to take place within a year and they will then move to Delhi. Shounak bags a great job and the marriage is postponed. What happens next? Who actually wins over Tannistha’s heart?

“I play the role of Nandita in this upcoming film. I am married to Suvendu who is more inclined towards theatre and arts. I have to manage my job and also the family. Hence the character of Nandita is very practical and realistic. I have worked with Kamaleswar before in Khaad. Though we are paired opposite each other and our characters are a contrast to each other, we had a great time during the shoot” said Pallavi Chatterjee.

Amrita Chattopadhyay who plays the role of Tannistha in the film was excited to be a part of such a film. “The whole experience is a great one and worth cherishing. Everyone has been very helpful towards me and this has helped me during the shoot” said the pretty actress who has a few films lined up for release.

Aditi Roy who won the very prestigious Netpac Award in 2011 for her Debut Film, Abosheshey, the only Indian Film in International Competition is the director of this film. The film is romantic and explores the love triangle between Tannistha, Shounak and Abhimanyu. It also explores the marital love between Nandita and Suvendu and whether they can bridge their ideological gap and come together”. The director also added that despite having a stellar cast, she never had to worry much about the shooting schedule as the actors have exceeded her expectations and given their level best.

The screenplay and the dialogues have been penned down by Neel B Mitra. Abheri De who aptly handled the camera for Bengali film Bitnoon is doing the same for this upcoming Bengali film.

Upcoming Bengali Film Bitnoon is a Hilarious Take on the Over Indulgent Parents and Ever Inquisitive Children of Today

Upcoming Bengali Film Bitnoon Press Conference

“The film Bitnoon depicts the salty yet tangy taste that life presents us with. Bitnoon or rock salt is solid yet brittle. Life the rock salt, relationships have to be nurtured. Or else it will lose the taste. This is what is depicted in the film” revealed director Abhijit Guha at the press conference of Bitnoon.

Also present at the press conference were Sudeshna Roy, Sayoni Ghosh, Ritwick Chakraborty, Raghab, Subhen, Padmanabha Dasgupta and others.

The story of the film Bitnoon is about Rahul and Mou, a happily married couple. They have a six year old son. The six year old son never leaves his parents alone. As a result they do not have time of their own. At such a juncture Rahul meets Rusha, which leads to disastrous and hilarious consequences.

Speaking at the occasion, music director Raghab said “Since the film has the comic element, the songs have been made likewise. I have worked with Subhen before but this is our first film venture together. There are just three songs in the film. Somlata has sung a dance number which has a semi-classical feel to it. I and Madhura have sung a song and the other song is by Rupankar. I will not state that the music is exceptional but we have tried to make it as pleasing as possible. We have focused on the Gayaki and hence trying our best to preserve the heritage music. Of late there is a tendency to focus more on the lyrics and also on the Western music style. We have stayed away from such influences. We have created a blend of classiness with music which sounds good to the ear”.

Subhen, who is the other music director of the soon to be released Bengali film, also stated that the songs have already made it to the top ten list of songs of a popular radio station.

Gargi Roy Chowdhury who essays the role of Mou in the film said “This is one of the craziest film units that I have ever worked with. You have to work with them to actually know how much fun we have had during the shoot of the film. The film unit itself is the Bitnoon”.

Produced by Jalan International Films Pvt Ltd, the script and the dialogues of the film have been written by Padmanabha Dasgupta. The DOP is Abheri De and the sound designing and film mix has been done by Tito.

The film is eyeing for a release on 3rd April.
