Video: Food Festival at Astor Hotel
Remembering our Heritage with food is a food festival where decade old delicacies will be served to the food patrons visiting The Astor Hotel. The festival features three Chefs namely Chef Islam, Chef Madhu Jana and Chef Sirajuddin who will be concocting up these age old recipes for the customers.
Chef Amlan Bose while speaking about the festival said “We still have those chefs who are aware of the old style of making kababs. They know the different recipes which are no longer tried out in the other hotels of the city. We have made such dishes using the old methods and the ingredients so as to give the patrons the perfect taste of these dishes”.
The kebabs under the vegetarian section consist of Chilman Paneer, Soya ki Galouti, Firdous e Numa, Bhutte ki Kabab, Mushroom Moti Tikki, Subz Guller Kabab and Dum Sufiana Paneer Tikka.
Under the non-vegetarian sections, the festival is offering Zafrani Kalmi Kabab, Murgh Kastoori Tikka, Murgh Amristsari, Lasooni Murgh Tikka, Chakori Mahi Tikka, Gosht Adna Kabab, Peshwari Gosht Burrah kabab and Makhmali Jhinga.
Vegetarian main course dishes consist of Khumb Mutter, Hyderabadi Moti Mutter, Khumb Hara Dhania, Bharwan Simla Mirch, Aloo Dum Anarkali, Peshwari Sabzi, Lasooni Pudina Paneer and Cheese Palak.
Non-Vegetarian main course dishes consist of Gosht Boti Tawa Masala, Gosht Pasinda, Gosht Masala, Murgh Zafrani, Afgani Murgh, Murgh Begum Bahar, Akbari Murgh, Machli Hariyali Masala, Machli Tikka Butter Masala, Jheenga Hara Dhania, Dal Maharani, Hara Moong Dal and Dal e Astor.
The food festival will continue till 7th of August and lunch and dinner will be available from 12pm to11pm. In a world so dominated by fast food, this food festival will be a welcome break for those who want to taste wholesome Indian delicacies.
