New Fiction Novel Exit Interview by Amrita Mukherjee Launched
In the august presence of ace Tollywood actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, the debut novel of Journalist Amrita Mukherjee “Exit Interview” was unveiled.
The novel Exit Interview is the story of Rasha Roy who leaves the comfort of her home to pursue a career in journalism. With the passing of time, she realizes that life is not a bed of roses in this field that she has selected. She moves from a job in India to that of one in Dubai. She realizes that the exit interviews are all a sham. She meets a young woman at a police station in Cairo. Will this be the biggest story of her life? Or will the story die an early death like the other stories? This is what Exit Interview is all about.
Speaking at the occasion, Amrita Mukherjee said “Many incidents in the book are actual things that happened to me during my stint as a journalist. What I have understood about the media and its working style during the last fifteen years is what I have tried to pen down in this book. I hope the readers like my writing”.
