Uday who plays the role of Utsab in the serial claimed to be a big fan of the kind of work done by the director Joydeep Mukherjee. “When I was asked to play this role in the serial, I was very happy. However the challenge was playing football. Any sports which you have not played in your life become a challenge when you go on to portray it on screen. However I am following football and trying to imbibe the body language which the players have. That will add authenticity to the role for sure”.
The music is done by Mayukh-Mainak and the story has been penned down by Sounava Basu. Ankita Mitra has done the script and dialogues for the serial.
“Like any other football loving Bengali, I too love the sport. I have played the sport quite a few times. However, since I am the owner of the team, I have not been able to get the chance to play with the ball. Moreover, I am wearing black shoes and getting some dirt on it would hamper the look. We have a strict director and who wants to get scolded by the director?” said Sudip Mukherjee with a smile.
Director Joydeep Mukherjee, in between directing shots said “Football as the backdrop will help in getting male audiences involved in the show no doubt. The story and the game of football are interlinked and will no doubt interest both the genders to watch the show”.
The new serial (produced by Raindrop Productions) will be aired from 21st September onwards, Monday to Saturday at 7 pm.
