After garnering acclaim for her performance in Sarbjit, the versatile actress Richa Chadha will soon be seen on screen portraying a different role in Love Sonia. Richa Chadha started shooting for Love Sonia recently. This is David Womark’s Indo-American production starring the veteran actor Anupam Kher alongside Richa Chadha.
Richa said, “I am super excited to be a part of this film. It’s a challenging part and I am nervous about how I will be able to cope with this role. The team is very nice and I am positive that the experience will be a good one!!”
Love Sonia is a movie based on the bitter reality of human trafficking that exists all over the world. The movie is scheduled to be shot in Los Angeles and Mumbai and is directed by Tabrez Noorani.
Infocom 2015’s Spotlight Session saw the august presence of veteran actor Aupam Kher. The actor engaged in a lively and interesting conversation with the audience and spoke on the topic “Bringing out the best in you”.
The Padma Shri awarded actor highlighted on key issues which individuals often forget in their day to day lives. “Failures are never barricades in your lives. They actually help you to move on ahead. I come from a not so rich family with fourteen members. We used to live in a small apartment. But happiness was in abundance in our family. When you are poor, you have happiness in huge quantity. That is a truth which might surprise many seated right now in the audience” said the actor.
The actor also narrated events from his life to make the audience understand how the best thing in you is you. “I failed in my board examinations and my father actually celebrated that. He never expected something of high calibre from me because he knew my ability. However it must also be pointed out that he remained my biggest fan throughout his life. Even before he died a few years ago, he watched my film and was full of praise for my acting”.
The actor signed off by stating that one should never aspire to be somebody else. “We all have something in us which makes us unique. Why try and be someone else? This will only hamper with the mental well being” said the ace actor with a smile.
Shabana Azmi for the preparation of a role in the upcoming Bollywood film Chalk n Duster travelled in the local train to get a firsthand experience. The actress travelled in the train to understand how it felt to commute in a jam packed compartment.
Currently working in a movie based on teachers, the actress travelled from Andheri to Virar with her entourage. She did this to understand how a middle class teacher, endured the pain and struggles of daily life. She also engaged in a heart-to-heart chat with a few fellow commuters and learnt about their daily struggles to reach work in time.
The movie stars actresses Juhi Chawla, Zarina Wahab, Divya Dutta in major roles along with Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Sameer Soni and Arya Babbar in pivotal roles.
The film Chalk n Duster is about teachers, the education system and how the system has been commercialized in the country.
Chalk n Duster is written by Ranjeev Varma and directed by Jayant Gilatar. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, while the lyrics for the film have been penned by the seasoned Javed Akhtar. The movie is produced by Subhash Singh and Sonali Singh under the 3S Creations banner.
After a long break from films, renowned Bollywood director K.C. Bokaria is making a comeback in the industry with his upcoming Bollywood film called Dirty Politics. The film boasts of a huge star cast which includes–Mallika Sherawat, Jackie Shroff, Nasiruddin Shah, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Ashutosh Rana, Shusant Singh, Atul Kulkarni, Rajpal Yadav, Govind Namdev and Sudesh Kaul. The story of this film is based on Bhaweri Devi of Rajasthan.
Apart from the stellar cast that the New film has, another noteworthy thing is that Sudesh Kaul ( only one cast from Kolkata) is playing the role of Jackie Shroff s younger brother in the soon to release film.
Sudesh Kaul had previously acted in numerous successful Tollywood, Bollywood and Bhojpuri films. Some of the films in Tollywood of which Sudesh Kaul is a part include Artanad, Gugli, Tumi Jadi Abar Hote And Zed; Sesh Chesta and Nil Akasher Niche are on floors. Previously Sudesh Kaul had also shared screen space with Tollywood superstars like Mithun Chakroborty and Prasenjit in the films Satye Mev Jayte and Soldier respectively.

The recently released Bollywood film Baby’s promotions were done in the city of Kolkata by director Neeraj Pandey and Anupam Kher. The press conference was organized at Hotel Hindusthan International.
“The film Baby is about an Indian security agent Ajay Rajput who along with his friend is able to prevent a terrorist plot to destroy a Delhi mall. However what they learn in the process is that this is the first in a chain of events which will be happening soon after this. Ajay and Jai are part of Baby, a temporary secret agency formed to protect the country from outside forces. A chain of events follow after this and what happens to Ajay or Baby is what the audiences will have to go to the hall to discover” said director Neeraj Pandey.
Akshay Kumar in his second film with Neeraj had become a director’s actor. This was revealed by the director who also said that the actor did what he had been asked to do just like a new actor on the set.
Anupam Kher who plays the role of Om Prakash Shukla in the film described his experience of working with Neeraj and Akshay as very special. “After having worked in all films directed by Neeraj, the bond between us has deepened. Moreover Akshay has also improved. He seems to be improving with each film that he is acting in. I simply do not think any other actor could have played the role better than him”.
