In the august presence of Dr Rabin Chakraborty, Regional Head, Interventional Cardiology, AGH, Kolkata, Sudeshna Roy, Gargi Roychowdhury, Abhijit Guha, the World Heart Day Campaign 2016 was organized. A month long initiative “Light your heart, empower your life” began on this day. Actors from team ‘Beche Thakar Gaan’ was present to interact with the media.

Upcoming-Bengali-film

The film Beche Thakar Gaan focuses on the problem faced by the aged people. It deals with an age old home where actor Paran Bandopadhyay plays a pivotal role. Gargi Roy Chowdhury and Tota Roy Chowdhury play the role of two doctors in the film.

“It is a very important film for us as this deal with the problem of old people. In today’s time it is important to take care of the elderly people who often have to stay back home alone. This is what we have tried to focus on this film” said director Sudeshna Roy.

Gargi Roy Chowdhury plays the role of a doctor in the film. Speaking about the film, she said “We have the made the film putting in all our efforts. This is a film made with all our heart. India is a country which is much dominated by emotions. This film has lot of emotions and we hope that the audience will be able to relate with it”.

Beche Thakar Gaan is slated for release on 24th November.

World Heart Day Celebrated with Team Zulfiqar at Apollo Hospitals

On the occasion of World Heart Day 2016, team Zulfiqar was present at Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals to celebrate this occasion. Dr. Rupali Basu along with Director Srijit Mukherji, actors Rahul and Kyra Dutt was present at the occasion.

Heart diseases are among the largest cause of mortality in Indians. Two million lives are lost every year to this disease. With the help of minimally invasive surgical options, these cardio-vascular diseases can be combated and the rate of mortality can be brought down.

Speaking at the occasion, director Srijit Mukherji said “We have made Zulfiqar with lots of love and hard work. We want it to touch your heart. For that you all need to have a healthy heart. With such techniques coming up in combating heart diseases, many lives will be lived. This is indeed good for the people who can lead a healthy life and combat the effects of heart problems”.

Zulfiqar will be releasing on the 7th of October.
