Video: Audio Music Album Launch of Canvas Jure Swapneel
Music composer Debajyoti Mishra and writer Ranjan Bandopadhyay released the album Canvas jure Swapneel by Bengali singer Arnab Basu. The album was presented by Artage Music.
The album consists of eight modern Bengali songs. The lyrics and music has been composed by Rajdeep Ganguly. Speaking at the event, the singer said “I am glad that my music launch event has been graced by such eminent dignitaries. The songs are of different themes and moods and I hope this will be liked by the people who will be listening to it”.
Music composer Debajyoti Mishra with whom the singer has been working for some time now was full of praises for the young talented individual. “I have scolded him often. But he has always taken it so sportingly. The amount of dedication he has and the way I have heard him practicing is very inspiring” said Debajyoti Mishra.
Ranjan Bandopadhyay mentioned that seldom has he heard someone who has entered the music industry with such a prepared voice. Most people enter and then they mature. Arnab is an exception.

The city of Kolkata got a new fine art address titled Gothic Haat recently. Inaugurated by the ace musician Debojyoti Mishra, the fine art address is located on Purna Das Road, Kolkata.
The first exhibition of this newly opened art address is Taruja. The exhibition focuses on the use of art in every day used objects like furniture, cabinets and doors. The collection has great designs in doors with exquisite carvings on them, grand designed beds, innovative household articles and so on. The word Taruja is a Sanskrit word which means something which is born or evolved from the trees. Some of the works of art displayed include Desire, Entangled, The Reader, The Tower Clock and so on.
Musician Debojyoti Mishra who inaugurated the art exhibition and the gallery was in awe of the artifacts and immensely liked The Tower Clock.
Arnab Basu is the man behind such wonderful creations under Taruja. A painter and also a winner of various national awards, he said “Artists employ new ideas and thoughts to explore form and technique. This helps in the viewer to get an understanding of the thought process of the artist. Religious beliefs, folk lore, aboriginal beliefs all form a part of the masterpieces showcased in this exhibition”.
The partners of Gothic Haat art gallery namely Prashant Gupta and Debaditya Chaudhury said “The 1500 square feet art gallery will be given for organizing photography and painting exhibitions. The duration will be for a period of seven to eight days. If a good topic on lifestyle will come, then we will be considering an exhibition on lifestyle too”.
Taruja will continue till the 8th of March 2015 from 2pm to 5pm.
