Sashibhanu Sarkar is a lecturer by profession and has been teaching at the Burdwan University. His passion for music led him to pursue graduation in music and also complete his Masters in music. His first album was with eminent singer Suchitra Mitra titled Teen Projonmo.
Speaking at the occasion Monomoy Bhattacharjee said “I have been listening to Sashibhanu live today and I feel that he should lower the scale down and sing the songs. This will add more melody to his songs. The fact that he has been coming from Burdwan to take music lessons and follow his passion in music is commendable. I wish he continues with this passion in future too”.
Music stalwart Avijit Bandopadhyay opined that the songs of Tagore have a latent meaning of their own. “You may read it during your youth and it will have a meaning which will be different to the meaning you understand when you listen to them later. Hence a single song of Tagore must be listened to fifteen times so as to fully grasp the inherent meaning of the songs”.
The singer performed live at the occasion and kept the audiences mesmerized.
