Ace director Nitish Roy’s recently released film Tadanto is based on a story by Gandharva Raja. The premiere of the film took place at Priya Cinemas.
The director Nitish Roy was present at the premiere and was busy welcoming the guests at the premiere. Gautam Halder, Rituparna Sengupta, Badsha Moitra, Biswajit Chakraborty were the cast members who turned up at the event.
Director Raja Sen, Saikat Mitra, Nandita Roy, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty and others graced the occasion.
Speaking at the premiere, director Nitish Roy said “We have done our work. Now it is up to the audience to come to the halls and make the film a huge hit. Let us see what happens to us’’.
The film released at single screens and multiplexes all over the city.
The press conference of director Anup Sengupta’s film Raater Rajanigandha took place recently in the presence of Rituparna Sengupta, producer Pradip Churiwal, Badsha Moitra and others.
The story of the film narrates the struggle of a village belle Putul who comes to the city and confronts a series of misfortunes. But she decides to fight her fate and carry on with her life. After being left homeless and orphaned in her village following a political clash, she comes and takes shelter at the house of Lakhua, a neighbor from her village. He helps her get a job at a hotel where she meets Bhulu. Bhulu is a young upright man but has shady connections. They fall in love and marry. They bear a child out of the wedlock and life seems to take a turn for the better. But happiness does not last long. Another accident leaves Bhulu crippled and she has to go to extremes to help earn for his medical expenses. What happens next is what the film all about.

Rituparna Sengupta, Rajesh Sharma, Kharaj Mukherjee, Badsah Moitra, Kamalika Banerjee, Anamika Saha and others will be seen in important roles in the film.

The press conference of the upcoming Bengali film Room No 103 took place in the august presence of director Aniket Chattopadhyay, Jisshu Sengupta, Badsha Moitra, Anjana Basu and others.
The film Room No 103 narrates the story about four boarders who came to stay at a hotel named Raat Din. The story of the four boarders is narrated by Rudra Chatterjee who is the manager of the hotel. The manager however does not allot Room No 103 to all boarders coming to stay at the hotel. He understands their personality and nature and then allots the room.
Speaking at the occasion, director Aniket Chattopadhyay said “The film has thriller elements which will appeal to many audiences surely. Added to this is the good background music which has been scored by Mayukh Bhaumik. He has done an extremely good job with the music of the film”.
The film also has Soumitra Chatterjee, Parijat, Rajesh Sharma, Ankita in important roles. Soumitra Chatterjee plays the role of Rudra Chatterjee in the film. “Soumitra Chatterjee was my first choice for this role because it is he who could do justice to the character of Rudra in the film. With minimal dialogues his face did all the talking” added the director.
The film was premiered at the Darpan Film Festival, Singapore and received positive feedback from the audiences. The Kolkata audiences will however wait for the thriller to release on 15th May in the city to enjoy the thrills of Room No 103.
