New Audio Music Album Proborton Launched; A Sony DADC India and Creinse Limited Bangladesh Initiative

Sony DADC India and Creinse Limited Bangladesh globally launched Miles’s new album titled ‘Proborton’ across both physical and digital platforms worldwide. This is the first album released under ArtistSpread platform and the first Bangladeshi album to be launched by Sony DADC.

ArtistSpread, a joint initiative of Sony DADC India and Creinse Limited Bangladesh, will facilitate Bangladeshi artists to enter the Indian market through a basket of distribution platforms such as leading Indian online and streaming platforms, Indian Telecom VAS Offerings, leading Indian e-commerce platforms and music retail stores. Physical albums will also be produced from the manufacturing plant of Sony DADC and released under Sony DADC brand for sale in leading Indian music chain stores and outlets. In addition, ArtistSpread will also create opportunities for music collaboration projects with Indian and global artists.

‘Proborton’ is the 10th album of Miles, which is one of the leading and legendary rock bands of Bangladesh. Miles is the first music band to be selected from Bangladesh under ArtistSpread.

The album will be available through multi platforms across the world which includes iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, XBOX, Napster, eMusic, TIDAL, Google Music, Gaana, Saavn etc. for online streaming and Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Tata Docomo, Aircel, MTS, Tata Indiacom, BSNL Indian telecom platforms.

The title of the album ‘Proborton’ refers to changing with time. The title of the tenth album perfectly portrays Miles’ position in the music scene for riveting the Bengali pop and rock music lovers for over three decades. ‘Proborton’ features four songs, each having completely four different essences yet keeping the true signature style of Miles.

Formed in 1979, the band lineup includes Hamin Ahmed (vocal and guitar), Shafin Ahmed (vocal and bass), Manam Ahmed (keyboards and vocal), Syed Ziaur Rahman Turjo (drums and percussion) and Iqbal Asif Jewel (guitar and vocal).

Audio Music Album Launch of Band Corridors; Lopamudra Mitra, Sidhu, Joy Sarkar Graces Occasion

Cozmik Harmony organized the launch of the debut album of a neo- funk Bangla band, ‘Corridors’. Renowned singers Lopamudra Mitra and Sidhu were present to launch the album along with ace music director Joy Sarkar.

Formed in the year 2012, Corridors is a four member band. It comprises of lead singer Saikat, his elder brother, bassist Sagar who teamed up with the lead guitarist, Anish and drummer, Subhranil Pikai Mitra. The band members all hail from North Bengal. The songs of the album have been composed by the members of the band itself.

The debut album is a complete mix of some interesting compositions that touches different aspects of life. The fresh sound scape and strong lyrics that have been used in the songs, regenerates the childhood memories. The songs of the album include ‘Kagojer Nouka’, ‘Attohin’, ‘Idur Dour’, ‘Swadhinata’, ‘Swapno’ and ‘Abanaman’.

The album is priced at Rs 100/- and is available across leading retail stores.

Bangla Band Alienz Audio Music Album “Jorimana” Launched

Bengali rock band Alienz released their music album titled Jorimana at an event held at the Kolkata Press Club.  Present at the music launch of the event were Jojo, Timir Biswas, Violin Brothers, Mahua Lahiri, Nondon Bagchi, Soumyajit- Sourendra and others.

Formed in the year 2007, Alienz is a five member band comprising of Tamal (song writer and keyboard player), Appu (drummer), Joy (guitarist), Dodo (bass guitarist) and Raj (lead vocalist and guitarist). They recorded their first album Sapno Noy in 2011. They also participated in a collaboration album “Underground Kolkata” in 2009.

“The album has eight songs which we hope will be liked by our listeners. We took a long time in bringing out this album. We thank Asha Audio who have come forward even in such times to help us in bringing out the music album” said Tamal.

Speaking at the occasion, Nondon Bagchi said “The group members may have achieved more individually. But they have stuck together and continued with the band. This is awesome as we do not find many artists who stick together for such a long time”.

Timir Biswas said “What can I say about this band? They are just like my brothers. I am very happy that their music album has finally been released. Though we are competitors, I feel that this kind of healthy competition is good for the music industry”. The singer also stressed on the fact that the listeners should download from legal sites so as to help in saving the music industry.

Priced at Rs 125, the music album is readily available at leading music stores all over the city.

Bangla Band Cactus Members Celebrate Easter with Underprivileged Children of Hope Foundation

Easter is celebrated with much pomp and joy throughout the world. To celebrate this merry making, Park Plaza, Ballygunje celebrated Easter with the underprivileged children of Hope Foundation. Members of the Bangla rock band Cactus were also present to grace the occasion and celebrate Easter with the children.

The Easter festival is the oldest and the most important festival in the Christian calendar culminating into a celebration of Easter Sunday. “This is indeed a noble initiative. Making the children happy is always important. We, the band members of cactus are happy to be associated with this cause” said band member Sidhu.

The band members of Cactus sang “Bhalo theko” for the kids and also took part in an Easter egg mixing process with the children. The children were also provided with delicious savories and Easter goodies by the Park Plaza authorities.

Kolkata Bengali Music Concert Maa Layho Pronam organized in an Effort to Preserve the Rich Cultural Heritage of the City

Maa Layho Pronam – a special musical concert was held at Rabindra Sadan. The live rendition was done by singer Nupurchhanda Ghosh connecting the verses of legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee.

Compositions of music maestros namely Dwijendralal Roy, Rajanikanto Sen and Atulprasad Sen were performed at the musical event. Six eminent musicians and seventy vocal supports were there to support the concert. The concert was an endeavor to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the city.

Speaking at the occasion, Nupurchhanda Ghosh said “This concert was created with the sole aim to showcase the artist’s sensibilities and creativity which will touch the soul of the audiences. This musical event will also give the people an idea of a unique harmony of art with poetry and vocal music on a common platform”.

Soumitra Chatterjee said “This is a great way of paying tribute to all the great musicians and poets who have made immense contributions in the field of art and culture. I am glad to be a part of such an event”.

The evening saw great performances by Nupurchhanda Ghosh and this kept the audiences enthralled.
