Rituparna Sengupta Launches Latest Food Products from Romania Company


Eminent Tollywood actress Rituparna Sengupta was present at the product launch of Romania Company. The company which has been operating in fields like plastic industry, electrical industry, solar power and others has now ventured in the food products manufacturing zone. A wide variety of food products like biscuits, cookies, jam, jellies are readily available with this company.


Speaking at the occasion, Rituparna Sengupta said “My forefathers are from Bangladesh. Hence, I have a love for the country where my roots are connected. Bangladesh happens to be one of the places where I love going to. I have also worked in many films which have been made by Indo-Bangladesh collaboration. My last film Belaseshe was well received by the audience. Hoping the same will happen with the next release Praktan”.


The actress also mentioned the fact that biscuits, cookies and other food products are something which we need every-day. “The company Romania coming to Kolkata is a good thing for the customers. Bangladesh is known for making variety of quality food products. The patrons of the city will now be able to get to taste their products” added the actress.

Praktan which will be her next release will see her pairing up with Prosenjit Chatterjee after many years. Hoping that her film does well both in Kolkata and Bangladesh!!

Ajoy Gupta’s book of limericks “Bangaler Chharachhori” Launched; An account of the Bangal Way of Life


Ajoy Gupta’s book of limericks titled Bangaler Chharachhori was recently launched at Oxford Bookstore. The release of the book saw the presence of Chuni Goswami, Olympian footballer, Sankarlal Bhattacharjee, Joy Duttagupta and others.


The book of limericks Bangaler Chharachhori is the tale of a refugee who was displaced during the Partition of Bengal. The book is an attempt to look back at the Bengali manners of the times gone by. The writer has reworked the memories into a confessional mode. However, he has offered all these in uproarious laughter and Bangal accents and intonation.


Acclaimed singer Joy Duttagupta said that the writer has decided to come up with a music album on this book. He will be singling out ten to twelve items from the book and composing it in a music album. Eminent artists will be lending their voices to the songs in the soon to be composed music album.


The event also saw singer Joy Duttagupta perform to a limerick from the book. His performance was accompanied by an on the spot painting by eminent artist Subrata Chowdhury.

Bangaler Chharachhori is priced at Rs 100 and is readily available at all the leading bookstores and online stores.
