Audio Music Album Launch of Matir Tane Rabir Gane Graced by Chaiti Ghoshal and Indrani Sen


The music album launch of Matir Tane Rabir Gane took place at ICCR in the august presence of Indrani Sen, Chaiti Ghoshal, Chandan Roy Choudhury, Amrita Dey, Prem Gupta (Raga Music) and others.

When Tagore was in Silaidaha, he came in contact with people like Siraj Sai, Lalan Sai, Gagan Harkara and many others. They were singers and had a rustic element in their songs. Tagore was much influenced by them. He came to know about Kirtan and other folk songs of Bengal. It is after this that one finds the pastoral touch in the songs of Tagore.


The music album has Bengali modern songs by Amrita Dey while the folk song is by Tanmoy Biswas. The music album release ceremony also saw a dance recital Madhumadhuri being performed. This was choreographed by Manjusri Roy Chowdhury.

The album has been released by Raga Music and is available at all leading music outlets in the city.

Bengali Audio Music album Raat Released; Avishek Chakraborty Conceives Unique Tunes for the Festive Season


Raat a music album conceived by Avishek Chakraborty was released at Press Club. The album featured songs by eminent musicians from the Bengali popular music scene like Rupankar, Sidhu, Manomay, Lagnajita, Prashmita and Avishek himself. All the artistes were present to grace the music launch ceremony including the notable film director Avigyan Mukherjee.

The album featured songs like Shunyota ( Prashmita ), Sarbonash ( Sidhu ) , Neon ( Rupankar ) , Jantrana ( Avishek ) , Obujh ( Rupankar ) , Harano Path ( Lagnajita ) , Swapner Gaan ( Manomay ), Khamoshi ( Prashmita ). All penned, composed and musically arranged by Avishek Chakraborty.

Avishek said, “It is a dream venture for me. I do compose music, write lyrics every day. It’s like my passion. I selected a few out of the lot and went ahead with this venture. I selected all the singers as per my tune.”

The album comprises of different kind of songs with a fresh kind of musical arrangement.

Raaga Music has also taken a unique initiative to launch an app exclusively for this music album.

Bengali Audio Music Album of Upcoming Film Bawal Launched; This Week’s Friday Release Promises Unlimited Entertainment


Upcoming Bengali film Bawal’s audio music album launched in the presence of singer Rupankar, Prasenjit Mullick, actor Arjun Chakraborty and director Biswaroop Biswas.

The main highlight of the music launch was the release of the music album in a pen-drive. This unique initiative has been undertaken so as to reach out to more people. “In this age when people are attempting new things to promote their film, we thought of doing this to catch the eyes of the audiences” said the director.


The film Bawal is the story of Jishu and Subhasri who are in love with each other. The biggest problem in their life are Subhasri’s two elder brothers who are over protective about their only sister. They plan to run away. However at this juncture, enters Nusrat in their lives. She is the sister of the famous don of Kolkata. What happens next? What kind of problems happen to the trio and can Jishu and Subhasri finally be together?


The music of the film has been composed by Akassh Sen. There are four songs in the album.

The film has Arjun Chakraborty, Ritabhari, Sayani Ghosh, Partha Sarathi, Biswanath Basu, Sumit Samaddar in pivotal roles.

The film is slated for release on the 12th of June.

Bengali Audio Music album “Chotto Ekta Mon” Now in Stores


Sanchari Laha’s music album on Durga Puja songs was recently released in the august presence of many stalwarts like music composer Joy Sarkar, lyricist Srijato, singer Parama Bandopadhyay and actor Sumit Samaddar.

Sanchari Laha was born and brought up in Mumbai. She is presently receiving music training under the tutelage of Shri Gautam Mukherjee. Previously she trained under Shri Shurjo Bhattacharya and Shri Binoy Pathak. She is presently a class eleven student in Mithibai College. Sanchari began singing at the tender age of four years. She received immense encouragement from her family which has a great musical background. Her grandfather Late Lakshmikant Laha was a noted classical singer. Sanchari, apart from learning singing also actively participates in inter college singing festivals and competitions.


The album ‘Chotto Ekta Mon’ consists of eight Adhunik songs. Four songs have been penned down by Srijato while the other four have been written down by Smarajit Banerjee. The music of the four songs written by Srijato have been arranged by Joy Sarkar while those written by Smarajit Banerjee have been done by Indranath Mukherjee. Some of the songs in the album include Agoon legece, Ekdin bikele, Tomai koto cheyechi, Chotto ekta mon and others.

Speaking at the occasion Joy Sarkar said “Sanchari has a sweet voice and it will be really good for the listeners to hear her sing. I am not saying this because I have composed the music. But I mean this genuinely. She has a bright future in music for sure”.


The songs in the album have a melody to it. With Durga Puja knocking at the door, this music album will be a good one to keep you musically occupied.

New Bengali Audio Music Album PNPC by Bangla Rock Band Bad Trip Launched


PNPC which is a Bengali colloquial acronym is much used by the people in various contexts. PNPC in Bengali means “Poro ninda poro chorcha”. Keeping this as the album name, popular boy band ‘Bad Trip’ released their debut music album PNPC at an event held at Innra Guest House. Present at the music launch ceremony were Anupam Roy, Gaurab Chatterjee (Gaboo), Dibyendu, Marten Visser and others.

The album PNPC consists of seven tracks. Bad Trip, the band is a Bangla rock band and consists of four members namely Biloo, Pranjal, Hada and Pinaki. The band members already have written about fifty songs, out of which they have chosen the best seven tracks for their debut music album. Formed about a year ago, the band Bad Trip has been doing various live performances in college fests and music festivals all over the city. The band prefers singing Lalon Fakir’s songs during live performances. However they also added that they like adding a twist to the songs too.

Some of the songs in the album include Jonaki, Sukno Nodi, Jole Jhapas Na, Ami Jani Tumi Thik, Lojja and others. Anupam Roy, noted singer and music composer who was present at the occasion said “I have listened to four songs in the album. They are quite good and I liked them. Pranjol writes really well”.

PNPC which has been brought out by Rooh Music is also available for online download too. One can either buy the music album priced at Rs. 130 or legally download it from a paid website. Stop piracy as many musicians have been urging and support the musicians.
