“The film is about Joy (Bonny Sengupta) who in order to woo Nandini (Rittika Sen) finally buys a bike. Being from a middle class family, Bonny has to strive hard to actually buy the bike for his lady love. However he falls into trouble due to the local goons. What happens to their love story is what Borbaad is all about. The intensity and passion that people usually have for their first love has been shown in the film. People will be able to relate easily to this new couple’s plight. There is an element of reality and practicality in the film too. This is also different from the love story which I made in 2008. Love in 2008 was different from love in 2014” said director Raj Chakraborty while speaking to Sholoana Bangaliana.

The director was full of praises for the newcomers who according to him have a very bright future. “I have been getting good responses from the people who have seen the trailer and the songs. They have been telling me that the lead pair is so cute” added the director.

Newcomers Bonny Sengupta and Rittika Sen were highly excited about the release of their movie. The excited lead pair thanked the director for ably guiding them through and helping them with the film’s promotion.

The music of the film has been composed by Arindom while the lyrics have been written by Prosen. There are five songs in the album. Parbona and Aashona have already become immensely popular with people. Parbona is also on the number one spots in the charts of many radio stations. Arijit Singh, Prashmita Paul, Arindom have lent their voices to the tracks in the film.

Borbaad is slated for release on the 15th of August and we hope that it will match up to the competition levels that the Independence Day Friday has set up with films like Singham Returns and Bunohaansh releasing on the very day.

Upcoming Bengali Film ‘Hercules’ Music Album Launched in Kolkata; Promotional Song by Arijit Singh

What happens when a weak person suddenly gains the strength to face his oppressors and answer them back? Sounds interesting, right? This is what is the premise of the upcoming Bengali film Hercules. The music launch of this Bengali film took place at Hotel Hindustan international in the presence of Tollywood Hero Prasenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Diector duo Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha, Music Composer Neel Dutt, Raja Narayan Deb, Usha Uthup, Mohua Lahiri and many others.

Upcoming Bengali Film Hercules Music Launch Video (You Tube)

The story of the film is about Harakailash alias Haru alias Hercules who lives in a dilapidated house. He is an orphan and he considers the house to be his parents. For him, all the memories of his parents revolve around this house. He considers the kitchen to be his mother and goes for consolation there whenever someone taunts him. Trouble starts when the local goons under the leadership of Mosh threaten him to sell off this house. He declines to do so. What happens next? Is he able to fight off the goons or does he sell the house? The film answers all the questions.

“When we thought about the casting, Parambrata’s name came to our mind first. This is because he is an extremely good looking fellow but he walks often in a lanky gait. This fitted the role of Harakailash. Casting him in this role will be a good challenge for him as an actor too. Hence we thought we should get him on board in this project” said director Abhijit Guha.

Music plays an equally important role in carrying forward the narrative and highlighting the plight of the protagonist. Hercules has six songs composed by Neel Dutt. Boba Rajkumar is the only song composed and sung by Arijit Singh. The lyrics in this film are by Anindya Bose, Kaushik Ganguly, Prosen and Souvik Mishra. Somlata, June Banerjee, Saptak, Zeenia and others have lent their voices to the songs in the film.

After Teen Yaari Kotha and cross Connection, Saswata Chatterjee will be again seen working in this film directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha in the role of the local goon Mosh. “When I was contacted for the role, I found this to be very interesting. Why will a person be named Mosh? The look has been taken care of by the costume designer but still I felt something was missing. It is then that I realized that I will do something worthwhile to establish the name. Mosh chews gum similar to that of cows chewing grass during leisure. This helped me to establish the name of Mosh. However I will like to add that Mosh is not the typical villain. He is a comic villain. He can start crying if you chide him” said the actor while talking to Sholoana Bangaliana correspondent.

Parambrata who plays the role of Harakailash in the film stated that this is one of the roles that he has done in the past two-three years which has really touched his heart.

With an interesting storyline, a great cast, Hercules is slated for release on the 22nd of August.
