Second Edition of Red Bandstand Azaadi Festival; Electrifying Performances By City Bands

Red FM, India’s leading FM network organized the second season of Red Bandstand Azaadi Festival. The festival aims at revolutionizing Bangla rock music in Kolkata. The festival is immensely helpful as it provides a platform to new age rock bands for creating music in collaboration with India’s most recognized independent music artist.

The second season of the festival witnessed electrifying performances by Papon, Fossils and Chandrabindu. Upcoming music bands in Kolkata performed at War of Bands, which allowed two lucky winning bands to perform at the festival with these iconic stars.

Rudram and Never Ask Us bands were the winners and bagged the opportunity to perform live at Red Bandstand Azaadi Festival. Fossils, Chandrabindu and Papon enthralled the crowd with their electrifying performances.

The lyrical evening witnessed a large gathering of more than five thousand music lovers at the event.

Audio Music Album Launch of Band Corridors; Lopamudra Mitra, Sidhu, Joy Sarkar Graces Occasion

Cozmik Harmony organized the launch of the debut album of a neo- funk Bangla band, ‘Corridors’. Renowned singers Lopamudra Mitra and Sidhu were present to launch the album along with ace music director Joy Sarkar.

Formed in the year 2012, Corridors is a four member band. It comprises of lead singer Saikat, his elder brother, bassist Sagar who teamed up with the lead guitarist, Anish and drummer, Subhranil Pikai Mitra. The band members all hail from North Bengal. The songs of the album have been composed by the members of the band itself.

The debut album is a complete mix of some interesting compositions that touches different aspects of life. The fresh sound scape and strong lyrics that have been used in the songs, regenerates the childhood memories. The songs of the album include ‘Kagojer Nouka’, ‘Attohin’, ‘Idur Dour’, ‘Swadhinata’, ‘Swapno’ and ‘Abanaman’.

The album is priced at Rs 100/- and is available across leading retail stores.

Audio Music Album Launch of Band Aagrashee; Director Ritabrata Graces Occasion

Band Aagrashee’s album Proshno Chinho was released at an event held at Birla Academy of  Art & Culture. Ritabrata Bhattacharya (Film maker), Chandramouli Biswas(Fossils), Debadyuti Sanyal(DBS Music) and the band members were present on that occasion.

Aagrashee is not only a band but also a medium through which everyone’s inner power comes outside to achieve their destiny. This album consists of six songs .The Songs are Aaphsosh Korte Nei, Saustaa, Brishti Tor Aupekkhay, Aagrashee, Bhabuk, Ei   Gaan  . Every song of this album is different and belongs to different genre. All the songs of this album are performed by Aagrashee.

Ritabrata Bhattacharya promised to give an opprtunity to the band to make music in one of his upcoming film.He liked all the songs specially “ Saustaa”.

The album is available in  all the Digital Domain like Gaana,Saavn,itunes, amazon etc etc. DBS MUSIC is the official Record label of the said album.

Seventeen Bands Perform at Inox City Centre on World Music Day

On Word Music Day, INOX City Centre, which has earlier staged acts by popular bands, once again played the host to as many upcoming as well as well established bands throughout the day. About seventeen bands performed throughout the day at the City Centre premises.

The bands who performed live were The Soul Brothers, Trigger, Hysterix, Sonar Tori, Musafir, Corridors, GyanJam, Yashus, The Radical Array Project, Rahaas, Folk Mantra, Radionuclides, Road Roller, Noychoyy, Flashmob, AlienZ, Buffertime. The performance will started at 12 noon and continued till 8pm at the lobby of INOX City Centre. Special mention goes to band Rahas, where they came up with the unique concept of Music meets Art.

INOX also had a weeklong contest, where one would enter the contest by uploading a one minute audio online to the contest mail id. 5 lucky winners got to perform on the day by singing their choice of song. The popular pick was Moh Moh ke Dhaage from Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

The celebration of World Music Day ensured wholesome entertainment for the people who came down to City Centre!!

Audio Album of Bengali Band Adbhutam Launched

Bengali band Adbhutam recently released their debut instrumental music album titled “Beginning the epic”. The music album launch was released by eminent film and music personalities namely Ashok Bhadra, Mainak Banerjee, Malobika Banerjee, Srijla Guha, Rohaan Bhattacharjee and the members of the band Adbhutam.

Beginning the epic is an instrumental world music album. There are six tracks in the album, out of which five are instrumental and one is vocal. The tracks are a combination of Indian music with international music. The band which started off in early 2014 felt that there is no boundary or restriction to music. They have even collaborated with Jazz music too.

Speaking at the occasion, actor Mainak said “We all know about the significance of instrumental music for background score in films. However listening to instrumental songs can equally be pleasing and I like to listen to them”.

Ashok Bhadra while pointing out the growing importance of instrumental music said “A Bengali band bringing out their debut album on instrumental music rightly points out that this trend is to stay. I paid a tribute to Manna Dey once at an event. When the songs were played in the instrumental versions, people were equally mesmerized and involved”.

Priced at Rs 100, the music album is available both at the retail shops and also at the online stores.
